Thinking strange

Dear Readers,

since I hardly get any feedback (comments) of my writings, a question is raising in my mind. Is anybody interested in things I have been posting? Is anybody interested in sorts of academics associated with CE? Without the Locomap I should feel nobody is, but thanks that map I realise some people visit the blog. I feel however strange to write academics further...

I think that we bloggists have to recognise that our blogging may at times have to be something that we do for ourselves.

Even if few people read it straight away, though, remember that it lies on the Internet record and someone might pick it up some time in the future and plug into what you say.

As for Comments/discussion, well, I suppoSe that I could say 'That'S CE for you'. On the other hand, MOST people who access the Internet on MOST topics are content (or too timid) to be other than just 'lurkers', looking but not contributing.

That said, step aside just a little and look in some of the blogs, discussion forums, notice boards etc that are populated ('thronged', I should say) by people with disabilities, parents, carers. They are SEETHING with life.

Why not in CE? Is it that 'ordinary folk' are somehow stifled, intimidated in this context and just stay away? They have no need to be (see Susie M's latest posting for the very powerful contribution that their experience has to make; see my own latest for recgnition of the primacy of their perspective in the field of conductive practice).

So what to do? I offer W. Churchhill's advice: KBO ('Keep buggering on').

Andrew.

PS Why don't you write more in Hungarian (or German) to try and tap into the springs of creativity that doubtless lurk in these languages.

Keep writing Laci, I read you blog and enjoy it.
As Andrew says we do it for ourselves and perhaps for a few who show their presence by the little dots on the map and the occasional reference or comments which sometimes appear.
Don't give up so soon, everything you write adds to the bank of information on Conductive Education which is available on the internet, which is growing fast.

I have also noticed that the blogs in America for example written by parents and users are often seething with life as Andrew puts it. Our blogs are not seething with comments but the postings are seething with life. Maybe one day we will catch the attention of others, till then Laci, keep on blogging.

Dear László,

I know how you feel. We were born into a society that believed/s that it was/is vulnerable, so almost from the day we were born we learned to have this deep seated belief within us that we are vulnerable.
But it is quite the opposite, our natural state is one of wellness and we have more power within us than we could imagine. You must know this from our work.
Every one of us is as important as the other. The question is do you enjoy, really enjoy what you are doing? Do you feel deep down that this is what you want to do? Does it stir your passion? If the answer is yes, keep doing what you are doing and forget your visitor’s map and don’t be concerned about whether anyone comments on your blog or not.
Even if you can help only one person with your writings while you are enjoying the process of working on your blog, you have succeeded.

Everybody has his or her own opinion. If you ask ten people do you like what I am writing? They will give you ten different answers, if you ask a 10 million people they will probably give you 10 million different opinions. It is you who matters; no one can decide what is the best for you, only you. You only know what you want to do and how you want to do it. Just do it.
The are no ‘spare parts’ in the Universe. Every part is essential to the whole. Your contribution is as good as anyone else is. Use your creative power and enjoy the process. Don’t compare yourself to anyone. We are all unique and precious.
On my blog under inspirational segment please watch the clip titled as ‘If you want your dream to be’ Brother Sun Sister Moon. Really pay attention to all details. Hopefully very soon I will tell the story related to that clip on my blog.
Look at it as it is happening now in our modern world; forget that it has a religious feel to it and also that it is happening during the age of the crusades.
Best Wishes, Judit

I was reading something earlier that was arguing we are conversational beings. The absence of the dialogue seems strange. That said, someone stopped me just the other day and complained that the music was missing from my blog!

Keep blogging Laszlo. I enjoy reading what you have to write.

I agree with all of the above, Laszlo. Keep going, the more that blog the merrier and the more we will all learn.

Thank you all those supportive sentences and foster a CE blog to run. Well, I try my best however, my life will have some change soon and I have no idea when and how I will be able to continue a certain level I wanted to have in this blog. Thank you all again!
